UMMA launches a NEW online publication for the Korean-American Community

Content driven web-mag provides cultural education & supporting products.

Los Angeles, California – April, 2016

April 22nd, 2016 – The new online publication UMMA Pub officially launches today and plans to be the definitive resource for Korean-American mothers and families about culture and tradition with written articles, images, links, printables, and supporting products in the online store.

“We are thrilled to use our previous industry and cultural knowledge from our traditional rice-cake brand”, says Founder of UMMA Pub, Deb Kim. “We talked to the new Korean-American generation and the difficulties they have with maintaining their roots within their family culture. We heard the needs and are happy to address all of them with this site.”

Meedo DDUK (Now UMMA Pub) has been producing hand-crafted rice-cakes for the 2nd and 3rd generation Korean-American clientele since 2013. As rice-cakes are such an integral part of the korean-culture and every celebration, Korean-American mothers and non-Korean women marrying into Korean families delighted over Meedo’s ability to provide modern consultation and design needs for the custom tastes of the new Korean-American culture that the exclusively niche industry limitations of currently available rice-cake services couldn’t, and quickly became the only representative of traditional-modern Korean services.

“We are delighted with the partnerships of all of our brands and look forward to introducing the consolidated and re-concepted effort fully to the Korean-American market. There is a Korean synergy between our multiples brands that we feel will result in a benefitial relationship for all the brands and clients alike.”

The publication and the activities may be followed on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
